Hey! My name is Itay and I was born and raised in Jerusalem, Ever since I was a little boy, my passion was traveling. Every chance I had, I used to take tents and sleeping bags, and drag my friends on hiking trips across the country. In Jerusalem, I used to explore the narrow alleys of the city, always searching for another unknown place, another one of the thousand secrets that lies within this city. To this day, I find myself learning more and more every day.
After my military service, I went on a few trips around the world. As a traveler, I made lots of new friends, saw many different cultures and places, and volunteered in a deserted village deep inside the amazon jungle. These experiences made me understand that for my ultimate happiness, I must combine my two loves: traveling, and meeting new friends. I chose to study tour-guiding at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in order to accommodate these two passions.
As a licensed tour guide, I use the knowledge I got from my studies, my experience as a traveler, and my fortunate upbringing to provide you with the best experience I could offer.
While I’m not guiding all over Israel, you will most likely find me writing short stories, especially comedic ones, or playing sports. I’m a huge European football (soccer) and NBA fan – I encourage you to try and tackle me with any trivia about these subjects.
It will be my honor to take you through the magical streets and stories of my city, at your leisure. I welcome you to join me, as friends, to an unforgettable tour in my city, and soon-to-be yours – Jerusalem.
